The Engineering Mechanics Institute is a premier organization formed by the American Society of Civil Engineers in order to serve the engineering community through development and application of engineering mechanics. EMI promotes both research and application of scientific and mathematical principles to address a broad spectrum of existing and emerging engineering and societal problems. Members are engineers, industry representatives, and others that deal with emerging areas of mechanics.
EMI members are primarily interested in communication between all disciplines of study and creating an environment that will facilitate professional growth to ensure that the challenges are met. As a result, EMI members are extremely responsive to offers concerning professional enhancement, development and research opportunities within engineering mechanics.
